چکیده

electron transport system (ets) activity was found to be related to the initial inoculum size, culturability and viability of e. coli. in this experiment, ets activity of flexibacter chinensis was measuredby int-method under a variety of conditions such as starvation media with different amendments anddifferent temperatures. the relation between ets activity, cell culturability, and viability was investigated.we found that the addition of glucose increased ets activity without affecting cell culturability. ureaaddition led to an increase in survival, but did not increase ets activity.

The Effect of Starvation Stress on the Protein Profiles in Flexibacter chinensis

Background: Analysis of many proteins produced during the transition into the stationary phase and under stress conditions (including starvation stress) demonstrated that a number of novel proteins were induced in common to each stress and could be the reason for cross-protection in bacterial cells. It is necessary to investigate the synthesis of these proteins during different stress condition...

the effect of starvation factor on the survival characteristics of flexibacter chinensis*

to survive in natural waters, bacteria must respond to a variety of environmental variables such asstarvation. flexibacter chinensis was grown and multiplied in the starvation medium and its viable count, totalcount and cell size were investigated under different temperatures. also, the effects of different nutrientsources were investigated. the survival of the organism under starvation conditi...

The Effect of Some Environmental Factors on the Survival Characteristics of Flexibacter chinensis

To survive in natural waters, bacteria must respond to variety of environmental factors. Flexibacter survival in the aquatic environment is influenced by number of parameters, such as temperature, heavy metal concentration and oxidation. Here we investigate the influence of these factors on the survival of Flexibacter chinensis in starvation medium. Our data shows that different concentrations ...
